Dean Malsack
will present a piano method comparison class for all piano and music teachers
at 1 pm on Tues Oct. 19
in the
Piano Trends Music Company Showroom.
Dean is a graduate of Illinois State, Piano instructor and Performer. He will help teachers take a look at the differences between the many methods available including The Alfred, Piano Adventures, Hal Leonard, Thompson, Fletcher, Bastien, and Glover Series to name a few.
Dean has performed all over the United States as a solo pianist and with several ensembles ranging from jazz to blues to popular show tunes. Dean performs over 250 engagements yearly.

Danny Wright began playing piano at the age of four when he
learned the theme song from Dr. Zhivago. Since, he’s sold over 5 million
CDs and is considered one of instrumental music’s finest performers.
Jump ahead several decades when Rockford’s own Emily Bear, age three,
began composing songs with only a brief introduction to piano. Now, at
just eight years old, she has performed with many well-known musicians,
appeared on “The Ellen Degeneres Show” five times and performed for the
President of the United States.
